What Is Lash Lifting?
Lash lifting is a treatment that puts a semi-permanent curl in your eyelashes. A keratin infused serum is applied to the lashes that encourages them to curl and stay curled for 6-8 weeks. Through this process the lashes are lifted and appear lengthened.
Benefits of Lash Lifting
Lash lifting offers many benefits:
Opens and brightens the eyes. Curling the eyelashes pulls the lashes up and away from the eyes, which naturally makes them look more open and bright.
Semi-permanent curl. Lash lifting puts a curl in your lashes that can last for up to 8 weeks.
Lasting results. Results last longer than curling lashes with a traditional eyelash curler on a daily basis.
Improves lashes without makeup. A lash lift can make your lashes look longer and more voluminous without makeup.
The Lash Lift Procedure
A lash lift is applied using the following steps:
Consultation. The first step in the lash lifting process is a consultation to discuss the procedure and your goals for your lashes. A plan is created that will involve lash lifting and any other treatments you want for your lashes, such as tinting.
Separate lower lashes. The lower lashes will be separated and kept down away from the upper lashes.
Curl the upper lashes. The upper lashes are curled around a silicone curling rod and held securely in place.
Apply serum. The keratin infused serum is applied to the lashes in an upward sweeping motion to encourage the lashes to curl upward away from the eye.
Clean and brush lashes. Excess serum is removed and the lashes are brushed to look natural.
